"Patience" is pregnant and recently moved to the area to distance herself from the father of her baby. She is considering abortion because she does not want to be connected to this man. She also expressed reluctance to "start over" parenting a baby at her age. She is parenting an elementary aged child. Patience was stoic during the ultrasound exam, but abruptly said, "I don't want to do it," when reviewing the information on fetal development and abortion. When her nurse encouraged her to talk more about her feelings, she said, "It already has a heartbeat. I'm changing my mind." She lamented feeling alone. Patience is part of a religious cult which believes in a Mother God who will return to Asia in the future. Her nurse shared the gospel with her. She plans to return for another appointment. Please pray for Christ's grace and truth to break into Patience's life. Pray for her child's life to be spared from abortion and for her nurse to have wisdom as she ministers to Patience.

UPDATE on Kevin: Thank you to all who ask about him and pray for him! After spending last weekend in the hospital for a badly infected leg, he continues on antibiotics (Thank God they're working!) and he's been having a pretty good week. Tomorrow he's scheduled to have the first in a weekly series of procedures to drain the build-up of fluid from his abdomen. Please pray for God's peace and protection for him and that it goes well. (Local anesthetics usually have no effect on him, and that's what they will be using.) Thank you!

"Joy" immigrated to the U.S. and is raising a young child on her own. She is considering abortion to cover up the shame of a pregnancy out of wedlock. She told her nurse of others she has known who were shunned from the community for being pregnant and unmarried. The father of the baby is pressuring her to get an abortion. Joy feels conflicted, citing her Christian background. She knows abortion is a sin, but the fear of being rejected is overwhelming. She became quite emotional, saying, "The baby is a living human God made...it deserves to be protected." Joy was grateful to pray with her nurse and consented to being connected with a MotherCare mentor. Pray Joy will take refuge in the Lord and be surrounded by supportive Christians in the coming days. Pray she and her children will be able to thrive under God's protection. -------- "Ruth" is eight weeks pregnant and says she plans to get an abortion, partly due to her own assessment that her pregnancy will not be healthy and partly due to financial constraints in her life. Ruth had no reaction to seeing her baby during the ultrasound. When conversing about Christ, Ruth told her nurse she practices Wicca and her boyfriend said he is a Christian. Both were willing to pray with the nurse. Ruth plans to return for another appointment next week. Please pray for Christ to reveal Himself to Ruth and her boyfriend in a way that transforms their hearts and minds. Pray for this preborn child to be spared from abortion.

I have been diagnosed with stenosis of spinal nerves in both neck and hip region which can lead to paralysis. My doctor considers this a medical emergency and has advised me to see a neurosurgeon as soon as possible.
We are currently in South Carolina but a brother in the Lord has kindly offered to come down and drive us back (my legs hurt, are tingly, and weak). Thank you for your prayers, saints- Yahweh Rapha heals and saves!

Still tired and sleeping." Please keep praying for their full recovery. Thank you!
