UPDATE on Carm: He was moved yesterday to ICU in order to provide better forced air oxygenation (not available in the rooms), but the doctor said he is doing well and ordered him a liquid diet for today, which is a good sign. I talked to him and he sounded good. Please keep praying for his recovery. Thank you.

Please pray for traveling mercies as I drive home from North Carolina next week. Also for my younger brother Warren. He’s had two surgeries for a detached retina and the lens has slipped after the second. He’s having some issues after his colonoscopy. I think he is near to salvation (I’ve been praying for years), but his family are Christians in name only and I think he’s afraid to take “the step”. He is very dear to my heart. Thank you.

Caring Choices Pregnancy Help Center
"C" came for an ultrasound but has multiple abortions in her past and is struggling with feeling valued. Father of baby is not supportive of pregnancy and she is considering termination. Please pray that she would look over the information we gave her about her options and that she would read The Father’s Love Letter and know that she is loved by her Heavenly Father. Please pray that she would choose life for her baby!

A prayer request from India and the Girls Home: The Covid situation is even worse than reported (300,000 deaths in one day). Pune is on a complete lockdown. The Government gave everyone 24 hours to stock up on food, but the banks and ATMs are out of cash. Credit cards are not accepted in many places and where they are the price of everything is 3 times as high. The Government vaccine is sold on the black market for up to $1000.00 a shot, but most people don't trust it. Some Government vaccine centers have fraudulently administered shots with water. People think they have received a vaccine and are ending up in the hospital. There are no ventilators, no oxygen tanks, no therapeutics available. The government's only answer is total lockdown to control the virus. People are scared. Hopelessness is more contagious currently than the virus.
Meanwhile, at the Girls Home everyone is well. Our main cook caught Covid and is at home recovering. The girls are all fine, with no one else testing positive or showing any symptoms. The house mother and some of the other older girls are doing the cooking. They have planned for anything and have more than enough resources on hand. We are planning to resume our distribution of food to the neighborhood when needs come to our attention.
Pastor Joseph would like to use our free medical clinic to do rapid Covid testing and he has asked the government and the distributors in Pune if they can purchase the vaccine at NGO cost and give it for free to people.
Please keep all of this in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate the road ahead.
