UPDATES: "Belinda" is raising two children and lost her last baby at six months gestation as a result of a genetic defect. She thought an early abortion would be preferable to the anxiety of a pregnancy and possible tragic loss of a more developed child. When Belinda returned for a second appointment she was still conflicted and unsure of what to do. She has not returned or responded to follow-up calls. Please pray for God to work in Belinda's life. Pray she reaches out to her nurse (regardless of whether she is still pregnant) and is able to again hear about God's love and redemption available through Christ. --------"Maddie" had come to CompassCare considering abortion because she had broken trust with her female partner and became pregnant during an encounter with a man. She felt she had to abort to spare her partner the pain of knowing she'd been unfaithful. Maddie did not show for her second appointment and has not responded to any follow-up contact. Please pray for Maddie's heart and mind to be transformed by the wonder-working power of the cross. Pray for her to reach out to CompassCare for the grace and truth available in Christ. -------- "Jodie" has asked for prayer. She responded to a text from her nurse saying she is going to get an abortion, but said, "Please pray for me. This is a very difficult time for me." Jodie is a Christian and said in her first appointment she knows she would "be a murderer" if she got an abortion. She is living in secrecy and shame partially due to her mother's prominence in the pro-life movement in her home state. Please pray the Holy Spirit will convict Jodie of the truth and give her the grace to repent. Pray for the voice of the accuser to be silenced and for Jesus to lead Jodie back into the Christian community where she can find the support she needs.

Please pray for Andrea Latragna's back surgery tomorrow (Tues.) to go well and be successful. Pray for the Lord's Presence, protection and peace for her. She expects to be 2-3 days in the hospital following the surgery.

Thank you for praying for Aria, who came to CompassCare considering abortion two months ago. She felt it was a bad time in her life to have a baby and was concerned her health was not good enough to have a successful pregnancy. Aria had several scheduling conflicts and did not make it to her return appointments. However, her nurses continued to pray and reach out to offer support. At the time of their last interaction, Aria said she had decided to carry to term and have her baby. Praise God for protecting the life of this child and blessing Aria with a good and perfect gift! Pray for her to be prepared in her heart, mind and spirit for the journey of motherhood.

Update on Vicky: She is not able to talk yet. She can’t write because the muscle tone is not good because she was out of commission for six weeks. Pray that with therapy and God‘s healing it’ll all come together for her, because she’s getting very depressed. Thank you for your fervent prayer.

"Lilla" is in her late teens and came to CompassCare wondering if abortion is the best choice for her and feeling conflicted. "I never thought I would have an abortion..." she said. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm, so she agreed to take time to discuss her decision with the father of the baby and her grandmother. When her nurse shared the gospel with her, Lilla decided to surrender her life to Christ. Pray Lilla draws near to Christ and seeks His will for her life and the life of her baby. Pray also for her to return for a second appointment and finalize her decision to continue her pregnancy. ------- UPDATE: "Monica" said at her most recent appointment that she had decided to get an abortion. Given the demands of caring for a young child with special needs, she feels it would be irresponsible to welcome a new baby into the family. Her family supports her decision to abort and she plans to schedule an appointment. Please pray for Monica's plans to be disrupted and for the life of this child to be spared. Pray God supplies Monica with the strength to continue her pregnancy.
