CompassCare
"Mona" contacted CompassCare saying she needs to get an abortion. The scheduler explained the services of CompassCare. At first, Mona was hesitant to make an appointment, saying she just needs to "get it done." However, the scheduler helped her see the value in CompassCare's services and she decided to come in. Mona told her nurse she has always wanted a child, but does not want to be connected to the father of the baby because he has been physically abusive. She said her mother and aunt would support her in raising the baby and are excited about her pregnancy. Mona admitted she doesn't actually believe in abortion. When she saw her seven-week-old baby during the ultrasound exam, Mona said, "Wow! That's interesting!" When asked about her faith, she said she talks to God. Her nurse presented the gospel and Mona decided to surrender her life to Christ. Please pray Mona's new relationship with Christ grows and informs her decision about her pregnancy. Pray she continues her pregnancy and she and her child are able to live free from fear. -------- UPDATES: "Amy", who felt she needed an abortion because the father of the baby didn't feel it to be the right time to have a child, had contacted PlannedParenthood for more information on a chemical abortion, but she remains undecided. During her last appointment, Amy agreed to connect with a MotherCare mentor. The father of the baby told his dad about the pregnancy and he was excited to hear the news. Pray Amy and the father of the baby resolve to protect the life of their child and encounter the transformative love of Christ in the days ahead. ------- "Jan" was originally considering abortion due to health concerns, but during her ultrasound exam, it became apparent her pregnancy is likely not viable and will end in miscarriage. She plans to follow up with an OB. When asked what she was thinking, she said she was relieved God took the situation out of her hands. Pray Jan seeks the Lord in a new way during this time of loss and turns to Christ for salvation.

Please pray for Tom, who has been experiencing increasing back problems that are affecting his ability to walk. We are praising the Lord, however, because there was a cancellation, enabling him to be able to see a neurologist on Friday. Please pray for the Lord to heal him.

Her main concern now is fatigue, but she continues to praise the LORD through it all. ------- Please pray for Judy B., who has developed memory issues. Please pray for my oldest sister, Trudy! She is saved! She is struggling with long term health issues and they are taking their toll on her emotionally! She is a nurse and is working hard to support her family! She is having migraines and has Lyme disease! Please petition the Lord Jesus to carry her burdens for her so that she can get the rest she needs and recuperate and that the needs of her family be met!

CompassCare
"Melissa" came to CompassCare feeling sick, depressed and overwhelmed. She is raising two children, including an infant who she gave birth to after being a CompassCare patient last year. Although her pregnancy is too early to confirm at this point, she is concerned she will be as ill as she was during her last pregnancy, which resulted in several trips to the ER for hydration. "I can't go through that again," she said. She is struggling with depression and presented with flat affect and a barely audible voice when talking with her nurse. Because she feels embarrassed about her situation, she has not told anyone about the pregnancy. She feels abortion is her best option. When her nurse shared Christ with her, Melissa decided to surrender her life to Him. Please pray God protects Melissa's heart and mind in the coming week before she returns to CompassCare. Pray she experiences transformation as a result of her new relationship with Christ and chooses to continue her pregnancy.
