Thank you for praying for Aria, who came to CompassCare considering abortion two months ago. She felt it was a bad time in her life to have a baby and was concerned her health was not good enough to have a successful pregnancy. Aria had several scheduling conflicts and did not make it to her return appointments. However, her nurses continued to pray and reach out to offer support. At the time of their last interaction, Aria said she had decided to carry to term and have her baby. Praise God for protecting the life of this child and blessing Aria with a good and perfect gift! Pray for her to be prepared in her heart, mind and spirit for the journey of motherhood.

"Lilla" is in her late teens and came to CompassCare wondering if abortion is the best choice for her and feeling conflicted. "I never thought I would have an abortion..." she said. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm, so she agreed to take time to discuss her decision with the father of the baby and her grandmother. When her nurse shared the gospel with her, Lilla decided to surrender her life to Christ. Pray Lilla draws near to Christ and seeks His will for her life and the life of her baby. Pray also for her to return for a second appointment and finalize her decision to continue her pregnancy. ------- UPDATE: "Monica" said at her most recent appointment that she had decided to get an abortion. Given the demands of caring for a young child with special needs, she feels it would be irresponsible to welcome a new baby into the family. Her family supports her decision to abort and she plans to schedule an appointment. Please pray for Monica's plans to be disrupted and for the life of this child to be spared. Pray God supplies Monica with the strength to continue her pregnancy.

"Sonya" came to CompassCare with her boyfriend saying she might get an abortion because she feels she should be more financially secure before starting a family. She also feels she is too young to become a mother. Sonya comes from a large family. Her sisters have expressed excitement over her pregnancy. Her mother says she would understand any decision she makes. Sonya and her boyfriend were attentive to the information they received on abortion and listened to a gospel presentation. They plan to return for another ultrasound and committed to discussing their decision over the next week. Please pray for Sonya and her boyfriend to understand the value of their child regardless of other circumstances. Pray for Sonya to be able to reimagine her future as a mother. -------- "Ginger" is considering abortion because she worries it is a bad time to have a child. She just started a new job. She and her sister live with their mother and her sister just had a baby. Although her mother has assured her that her child, too, would receive unconditional love, Ginger thinks an abortion might be the best option. Please pray for Ginger to bond with her preborn baby and decide to continue her pregnancy. -------- "Mona" is in her forties and found out she is pregnant. She has had two previous abortions. In speaking of the abortion she had as a teenager, she said it was "terrible." She feels it is best to "take the pill before the baby gets too big." She has not told the father of the baby about the pregnancy because she feels she alone should make the decision to abort. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm and her nurse informed her of the unnecessary risks involved in getting an abortion for an unconfirmed pregnancy. She suggested she take more time to consider her decision. Please pray Mona would pause and consider her decision. Pray for God to redeem her past and set her on a new path for her future.

"Jennie" is raising two young children and she and her fiancée weren't planning on having more children. They feel abortion is the best decision for them, partially due to health concerns which made previous pregnancies difficult. Jennie is also concerned she does not have the physical strength to raise three children. Despite her resolve to get an abortion, Jennie became tearful during her ultrasound. Seeming upset, she said, "This is hard." Her pregnancy was too early to confirm. She did not schedule a return appointment but said she was going to have to think more about her decision. Please pray for Jennie's nurse as she reaches out to her to follow up. Pray God gives her the strength to decide to continue her pregnancy and the life of this child is spared. -------- "Meryl" is in her late thirties and feeling overwhelmed while working, going to school, raising four children and taking care of her elderly father. Being pregnant feels like too much for her to handle and she is thinking of getting an abortion. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm. She said she talks to God and realizes "how He feels" about abortion, which makes it hard to think about going through with getting one. She allowed her nurse to pray for her and scheduled a return appointment. Please pray for Meryl to continue to seek the Lord and for Him to reveal Himself and His truth to her. Pray for her child to be protected from harm. ------- "Sally" recently immigrated to the U.S. and doesn't speak English. Her husband was present for the appointment and translated. He said they plan to get an abortion because they are still acclimating to their new life and Sally had planned to get a college degree. "A baby will mess up our plan," her husband explained. When she heard her baby's heartbeat, Sally said through her husband that she felt sad. He went on to say they will get an abortion, but have been having trouble getting a timely appointment anywhere in the area. Her nurse suggested taking more time to make a decision as it was apparent Sally feels conflicted and assured him there is no need to pursue an abortion urgently. Please pray for Sally and her husband to decide to continue this pregnancy. Pray for God to intervene and save the life of this preborn boy or girl.
