UPDATE: Kevin, although still very ill, has stabilized and been moved out of ICU. He has a different hospital doctor now who had the good sense to order a blood transfusion to treat the severe anemia Kevin's had for months. PTL! He's very weak, needing total care, but is more alert and responsive today than he had been. Thank you so much for your prayers!

Please pray for sister, Dianne.
Unsaved, headed in now for surgery for another cancer found. Thursday 8:30 am.
More to come. Things getting complicated medically.
We’ve been sharing the gospel & love of Jesus with her for many decades & met with complete resistance.
We need strength & wisdom on how to continue to share the truth of the gospel.
And for the Lord to send others to speak truth to her.

UPDATE/PRAISE REPORT: "Emily" (has 4 children; paternity of unborn child unknown) heard about the transformative love of Christ and power of the cross to redeem her at her first visit and she prayed with her nurse to surrender control of her life to Jesus. Her pregnancy was unconfirmed then, so she scheduled an appointment for a repeat ultrasound before leaving. Emily's second ultrasound exam confirmed she has a viable pregnancy. She told her nurse she had originally planned to get an abortion without telling anyone and "take it to her grave." However, she said her mother told her she'd had a dream that one of her children was pregnant. This opened the door for Emily to tell her about the baby. Her mom promised to support her in raising the child, giving Emily the confidence she needs to say no to abortion. "I feel so relieved," she said. Emily confided she regrets her previous abortions and knows God will help her raise this child. "I've had a change of heart," she said. "My kids know about the baby and they're excited." She said she felt God's presence at her first appointment when she surrendered her life to Christ and sees how everything worked together for her to make the right decision. Praise God for His mercies and compassion for Emily and her baby! Pray Emily is strengthened in the Lord as she prepares for the arrival of this new little one.

UPDATE: Kevin was moved into the ICU at Highland Sunday evening so they could better monitor his condition. Although they've been treating him for an infection for nearly a week, he hasn't improved, so they're checking for a second infection. They are preparing to transfer him to the surgical ICU at Strong when there's a bed available, for what we believe to be the next "stop gap" measure (some sort of shunt) until he can have a liver transplant. Praise God for the wonderful care he's been getting, and for God's peace upon him! He's still having kidney issues also, so we continue to covet your prayers. Thank you, Saints!

"Moriah" is a college student who came to CompassCare saying she and her boyfriend think abortion is the best option for them. Both share a concern that having a child will disrupt their education and cause problems with their future plans. "I'm scared," she told her nurse. Her ultrasound exam did not reveal a viable pregnancy. Her nurse advised her to return in a week and take that time to consider her decision. When talking about God, Moriah said she was raised in a Christian home and talks about God, but has been reluctant to talk to Him about her current situation. "My family doesn't want me to get an abortion," she said. Please pray Moriah will turn to the Lord for direction. Pray He reveals Himself and gives her the courage to continue her pregnancy. -------- "Mary" is raising a young child with special needs and recently became pregnant by a man she is not married to. Her husband is no longer physically able to father children, so she knows there will be no way to hide her infidelity if she does not have an abortion. Mary drove an hour to come to CompassCare, looking for help and guidance. "I'm pro-life," she said. "I don't believe in abortion." However, her shame feels overwhelming. Her nurse shared the gospel with her and Mary decided to surrender control of her life to Jesus. "Help me," she prayed. "Forgive me." Her pregnancy was too early to confirm, so her nurse suggested she return for another appointment. Mary fears her family will be destroyed if her pregnancy is found out, so her nurse prayed with her for God's specific and miraculous intervention in marriage and family. Please pray along with Mary and her nurse for God's leadership and wisdom in this challenging situation. Pray Mary resists the temptation to abort and her preborn child's life is spared no matter who his or her father is.
