"Joy" immigrated to the U.S. and is raising a young child on her own. She is considering abortion to cover up the shame of a pregnancy out of wedlock. She told her nurse of others she has known who were shunned from the community for being pregnant and unmarried. The father of the baby is pressuring her to get an abortion. Joy feels conflicted, citing her Christian background. She knows abortion is a sin, but the fear of being rejected is overwhelming. She became quite emotional, saying, "The baby is a living human God made...it deserves to be protected." Joy was grateful to pray with her nurse and consented to being connected with a MotherCare mentor. Pray Joy will take refuge in the Lord and be surrounded by supportive Christians in the coming days. Pray she and her children will be able to thrive under God's protection. -------- "Ruth" is eight weeks pregnant and says she plans to get an abortion, partly due to her own assessment that her pregnancy will not be healthy and partly due to financial constraints in her life. Ruth had no reaction to seeing her baby during the ultrasound. When conversing about Christ, Ruth told her nurse she practices Wicca and her boyfriend said he is a Christian. Both were willing to pray with the nurse. Ruth plans to return for another appointment next week. Please pray for Christ to reveal Himself to Ruth and her boyfriend in a way that transforms their hearts and minds. Pray for this preborn child to be spared from abortion.

I have been diagnosed with stenosis of spinal nerves in both neck and hip region which can lead to paralysis. My doctor considers this a medical emergency and has advised me to see a neurosurgeon as soon as possible.

We are currently in South Carolina but a brother in the Lord has kindly offered to come down and drive us back (my legs hurt, are tingly, and weak). Thank you for your prayers, saints- Yahweh Rapha heals and saves!

UPDATE on Antoinette P.: She reports (via text to Ava) that she is confined by the Health Dept. (presumably at home) as long as she is symptomatic, which she is (very weak, no energy, fevers and sweats, sleeping a lot). She also reports her daughter and grandchildren "are doing well. Still tired and sleeping." Please keep praying for their full recovery. Thank you!

When "Sandy" came for her initial appointment, she said she planned to keep her baby. However, at her return appointment she said she was feeling conflicted and considering abortion. She video-called the father of the baby during the ultrasound and he seemed happy to see their twelve-week-old baby on the screen. Afterward, Sandy told her nurse multiple times she didn't know what to do. She allowed her nurse to pray for her and said she would be talking with trusted family members about her decision. Please pray for Sandy to resolve to continue her pregnancy and trust God to give her all she needs for motherhood. Pray her child is able to grow and thrive under God's protection.

Please pray for my granddaughter who is back in the hospital for the third time since giving birth. She now has an infection in her uterus and is in ED where she can’t be with her nursing infant. “Please Lord, give wisdom to her caregivers, and have her moved to a room where she can safely be with her baby, in Jesus name. Amen”

"Gabby" came to CompassCare determined she must get an abortion. "I'm too stressed to have a baby," she said, citing the demands of raising her young firstborn child and challenges with her landlord. During the ultrasound exam, Gabby said her anxiety was peaking. When she saw her seventeen-week-old baby, she expressed relief, saying, "I still have time to get an abortion. I can't have this baby." She called an abortionist while in the exam room and made an appointment. She did not want to talk with her nurse any further and said she was ready to leave. However, she did schedule a return appointment to get test results. Please pray God spares the life of this child. Pray for Gabby's nurse to be specially equipped for this return appointment and to be used by God to initiate a transformation in Gabby's life. ------- UPDATE: Please continue to pray for Regina, who told her nurse, "I just don't want to be pregnant right now," when she came for her first appointment. When she returned, she agreed to another ultrasound but again did not engage with her baby or with her nurse. Regina has an abortion appointment scheduled for a few days from now. She consented to receiving follow-up calls from her nurse. Please pray God breaks through Regina's heart and mind in a way only He can. Pray for this child to be saved from abortion and given the opportunity to live the life God intends for him or her.

Thank you for praying for Meryl, who was feeling overwhelmed when she initially came to CompassCare. She is raising four children and caring for her elderly father while working and continuing her education. She was thinking of getting an abortion, but felt conflicted. She had been praying about her pregnancy and knew God would not want her to get an abortion. Meryl has returned for several appointments and recently told her nurse she no longer needs to think about her decision. "I don't want to miss out on having another baby, smelling that baby smell...and those baby feet!" she exclaimed. She plans to continue her pregnancy and parent her child. Praise God for convicting Meryl of the truth and sparing her and her baby the pain of abortion. She and her nurse constructed a personalized list of resources for her and she plans to return for another ultrasound soon. Please pray God gives Meryl supernatural strength for this season and blesses her abundantly. . . . .

Thank you for praying for Ginger. She came to CompassCare considering abortion because she felt it was a bad time time in her life to have a baby. Although her mother said she would support her in parenting her child, she felt unsure about what to do. When Ginger returned for a second appointment, she said she has decided to continue her pregnancy. Although her relationship with the father of the baby is unstable, her mother attended the appointment with her and affirmed her support of Ginger's decision to keep her baby. She will be starting prenatal care with an OB in the coming days. Praise God for helping Ginger and her mother overcome fear and say "no" to abortion. Pray He leads them into relationship with Himself and His people as they begin this journey of raising a new child.
