Kathy requests prayer for her Dad, who is having hernia surgery tomorrow. Pray for all to go well, for healing, and esp. for his salvation. She also reports her mom was back in the hospital because of dehydration and weakness, but now is in rehab again for more PT. Please pray for the Lord to lift her spirits and strengthen her so she can return home. Thank you, saints!

CompassCare

"Amy" came to CompassCare to confirm her pregnancy. Although she said she feels happy about being pregnant, the father of the baby doesn't think it's the "right time" to have a child and wants her to get an abortion. Her pregnancy could not be confirmed via ultrasound. She said she thinks she could "convince" the father of the baby they should continue the pregnancy. When discussing the gospel, she said she has no faith background and isn't sure if there is a God. Pray Amy's heart and mind are enlightened to the gospel. Pray she has the confidence to say no to abortion with or without her boyfriend's support. -------- "Tiara" had an abortion appointment but "didn't feel right about it" and chose to come to CompassCare instead. She poured her heart out to her nurse, explaining all of the pressures in her life. Initially she had been excited about her pregnancy, but she began having relational issues with the father of the baby. She also feels overwhelmed by her morning sickness, saying, "I can't go on like this." Additionally, she is afraid to tell her family about the pregnancy. After seeing her seven-week-old baby on the screen, she admitted to feeling sad. She had an abortion previously and described it as traumatic. She said she was already asking God to forgive her for getting another abortion. "It's not right to throw away a life," she said. Her nurse said she believes God directed her to CompassCare and was making a way for her to avoid the trauma and guilt of abortion. She then shared the gospel and Tiara surrendered her life to Christ. Please pray for Tiara's faith to increase rapidly and for her to have the power to resist the pressure to abort. Pray her child's life is spared and they both thrive under the grace of God. -------- "Sandra" is a graduate student considering abortion. The father of the baby has said he would support "whatever decision she makes," but he is set to leave the country on deployment soon. Sandra became tearful during the ultrasound and continued to be emotional afterwards. After hearing the gospel, she said she would think about receiving Christ. She was willing to allow her nurse to pray for her. Pray Sandra's eyes are opened to the supports available to her and she is convicted by her conscience to continue her pregnancy. Pray she is drawn to Christ in a transformative way. -------- "Jan" is in her late thirties and is considering abortion due to health concerns. Her doctor told her over a decade ago that she should not have any more pregnancies due to risks associated with pre-existing conditions. Jan explained her family and the father of the baby support whatever she decides. When discussing abortion, she said her sister had one and regrets it. However, Jan does not feel she would have regret. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm viability. After hearing the gospel, Jan said she does want to know God in a deeper way. Pray Jan's interest in the Lord would lead her to seek and find Him during this critical juncture. Pray the life of this child is protected.

Caring Choices Pregnancy Help Center

"A" is a refugee and 8 months pregnant in need of everything for both her and her baby. Please pray for a healthy delivery, healing from abuse, and provision for all her basic needs. ------- "D" came in for an ultrasound and asked for prayer because she gets high blood pressure during pregnancy and it is already high this early in her pregnancy. Please pray for a healthy and safe pregnancy. ------- "T" is expecting her first baby later this summer and came in to get items for baby. She listened intently to the Gospel message and placed her trust in Christ! Pray for a healthy pregnancy and a desire to walk in her new-found faith in Christ!
