CompassCare
"Amy" came to CompassCare to confirm her pregnancy. Although she said she feels happy about being pregnant, the father of the baby doesn't think it's the "right time" to have a child and wants her to get an abortion. Her pregnancy could not be confirmed via ultrasound. She said she thinks she could "convince" the father of the baby they should continue the pregnancy. When discussing the gospel, she said she has no faith background and isn't sure if there is a God. Pray Amy's heart and mind are enlightened to the gospel. Pray she has the confidence to say no to abortion with or without her boyfriend's support. -------- "Tiara" had an abortion appointment but "didn't feel right about it" and chose to come to CompassCare instead. She poured her heart out to her nurse, explaining all of the pressures in her life. Initially she had been excited about her pregnancy, but she began having relational issues with the father of the baby. She also feels overwhelmed by her morning sickness, saying, "I can't go on like this." Additionally, she is afraid to tell her family about the pregnancy. After seeing her seven-week-old baby on the screen, she admitted to feeling sad. She had an abortion previously and described it as traumatic. She said she was already asking God to forgive her for getting another abortion. "It's not right to throw away a life," she said. Her nurse said she believes God directed her to CompassCare and was making a way for her to avoid the trauma and guilt of abortion. She then shared the gospel and Tiara surrendered her life to Christ. Please pray for Tiara's faith to increase rapidly and for her to have the power to resist the pressure to abort. Pray her child's life is spared and they both thrive under the grace of God. -------- "Sandra" is a graduate student considering abortion. The father of the baby has said he would support "whatever decision she makes," but he is set to leave the country on deployment soon. Sandra became tearful during the ultrasound and continued to be emotional afterwards. After hearing the gospel, she said she would think about receiving Christ. She was willing to allow her nurse to pray for her. Pray Sandra's eyes are opened to the supports available to her and she is convicted by her conscience to continue her pregnancy. Pray she is drawn to Christ in a transformative way. -------- "Jan" is in her late thirties and is considering abortion due to health concerns. Her doctor told her over a decade ago that she should not have any more pregnancies due to risks associated with pre-existing conditions. Jan explained her family and the father of the baby support whatever she decides. When discussing abortion, she said her sister had one and regrets it. However, Jan does not feel she would have regret. Her pregnancy was too early to confirm viability. After hearing the gospel, Jan said she does want to know God in a deeper way. Pray Jan's interest in the Lord would lead her to seek and find Him during this critical juncture. Pray the life of this child is protected.

I ask for prayer for Patty H. She had heart surgery yesterday and it did not go well. Please pray for her complete healing and salvation. Also for Skylar, who is 12 and is battling stage 4 cancer throughout her body. Please pray for healing and that the Lord would calm all her fears. Thank you saints.

Praise report! I recently found out that Brendan, the student who was diagnosed with the brain tumor last August now hasn't a cancer cell in his body! To God be the Glory!!! He's the Great Physician! Thank you so much for those of you who prayed and interceded for this young man. He should be back in school this September!

Caring Choices Pregnancy Help Center
"A" is a refugee and 8 months pregnant in need of everything for both her and her baby. Please pray for a healthy delivery, healing from abuse, and provision for all her basic needs. ------- "D" came in for an ultrasound and asked for prayer because she gets high blood pressure during pregnancy and it is already high this early in her pregnancy. Please pray for a healthy and safe pregnancy. ------- "T" is expecting her first baby later this summer and came in to get items for baby. She listened intently to the Gospel message and placed her trust in Christ! Pray for a healthy pregnancy and a desire to walk in her new-found faith in Christ!

"Rachel" is in her early teen years and came to CompassCare with her mom. When discussing her pregnancy, she said, "I'm just a kid myself." Her mom explained the father of the baby is pressuring her to get an abortion. Her ultrasound exam revealed an early pregnancy and viability could not be confirmed. Rachel said she believes in God and has a relative who is a pastor. Her mom chimed in, saying, "We couldn't get along without God's help." Please pray for Rachel and her mom to find support at their church and for both of them to have the faith and courage to say no to abortion. Pray for God to transform this family and help them to flourish. ------- "Lena" is married with two children and is considering abortion due to the demands of her job and family life. She said her husband feels they are not ready for a third child. Her ultrasound exam was inconclusive. She expressed relief and said she was raised Catholic and was taught abortion is wrong. During the gospel presentation, she became misty-eyed and said she has already invited Christ to lead her life. Please pray Lena is convicted of the truth she knows about the value of human life and chooses to say no to abortion. Pray she and her husband are unified in deciding to surrender to God's will for their family. ------ UPDATE on Ruby: After asking God to show Himself to her, Ruby had had a dream in which her preborn baby cried out to her, pleading with her to not get an abortion. She had committed to continuing her pregnancy; however, Ruby continues to battle with nausea and discouragement. She told her nurse during a follow-up appointment that she is considering abortion again. Her nurse got in touch with CompassCare's supervising OB/GYN, who advised Ruby to go to the ER or urgent care to get hydrated. Ruby was resistant to this idea because of long wait times and said she just wants to get the abortion pill. When her nurse offered another ultrasound exam, she declined saying, "Seeing it was hard. There's a heartbeat." She seemed discouraged and dejected. However, before leaving, she said, "Abortion is wrong before God." Please pray for Ruby's faith in God to grow and for her thinking to be aligned with God's will. Pray she commits to nurturing the life within her and the nausea subsides.
