Lynn

UPDATE from Lynn: Kevin is now in Palliative Care at Strong Hospital, where there are fewer restrictions on visitation. They are trying to schedule a procedure to help keep him more comfortable (possibly tomorrow). The Hospice Home they had contacted is in Perry, NY - too far away for the family & friends he's wanting to see be able to visit - so we turned it down. He's accepted his situation and is receiving wonderful care. He likes & jokes around with his MD & nurses. His best friend (from high school) is visiting from Washington state, and that has been a huge blessing to both of us. Please continue to pray for God's grace, comfort, and peace for him as he prepares to go Home with Jesus. Thank you.

UPDATE: Kevin has decided he's done with being in the hospital and they are looking to move him to a Hospice House, since there's no way I could safely accommodate or care for him at home. We are waiting for more details as to when & where he will be going, but we are anticipating fewer visitation restrictions than at the hospital. Please pray for God's grace and peace for us both! Thank you SO MUCH!

Please pray for a NASCAR buddy, Michael S, who lives in Texas. He has brain cancer and is having surgery on August 16th. He will receive radiation and then chemo treatments. He will be on chemo for a year, introducing it through a pill, hoping that the side effects won't be as bad. He is a believer and trusting God in all things.

CompassCare

"Tracee" is a mother of one who was referred by a friend with a positive experience at CompassCare. Tracee enjoys being a mother, but does not want to be connected with the father of her baby, who is an addict, and feels she needs an abortion. Tracee shared the news of the pregnancy with both sets of grandparents and they support her decision. During the appointment, Tracee was engaged with her baby during the ultrasound and is concerned about the mental health issues that can result from abortion. She shared with her nurse about a prior miscarriage and the toll it took on her emotionally. She is worried this will happen again. She also admitted, "my relationship with God makes this a hard decision." Tracee and her nurse prayed together about her situation. She agreed to return for a follow-up appointment. Pray Tracee's faith in the Lord will overcome the fear of having another baby. Pray her family will have a change of heart and support her carrying to term. Pray also for salvation and healing for the father of this child. ------ "Marissa" is a young mother of two children who is not happy about being pregnant again. Her prior two pregnancies were extremely difficult, including severe nausea and vomitting. She fears this pregnancy will be the same. Marissa has just started a new job and cannot spend all day in the bathroom at work. While she has never believed in abortion before, she feels it is her only option right now. She has only shared the news with her boyfriend, and he supports whatever decision she makes. She has no plans of telling anyone else. Marissa was taken aback at what she saw and heard during her ultrasound. When she looking at her seven-week-old baby on the screen, she simply said, "Whoa, he's so little." When her nurse asked about her intention, Marissa was still resolute about getting an abortion. However, she did take the ultrasound pictures and said, "I have some thinking to do." Please pray Marissa will stay true to her beliefs about abortion and continue her pregnancy. Pray she will have the courage to tell her family and friends. Pray she returns for her follow-up appointment.
