Bethany is a single mother of three living in this country without any support. She has recently immigrated to the Unites States and has a language barrier that makes life more difficult. Bethany is no longer in a relationship with the father of her baby and shared with her nurse that, in her culture, it is disgraceful to be an unwed mother. Because of this, she does not want to tell anyone she is pregnant. Bethany was unwavering in her decision to have an abortion until after she saw her baby on the ultrasound. When asked how she was feeling, she admitted that she is against abortion and is conflicted. Bethany describes herself as very religious, attends church regularly, and believes in Jesus. She declined an offer of support through MotherCare. Pray Bethany has the courage to share her pregnancy with her family and they receive the news well. Pray she sees the offer of MotherCare as a gift from God and reconsiders. Pray the Lord does a miracle in Bethany's heart and she sees a clear way forward in her pregnancy.

Bonnie C:

Please continue pray for safety all the US troops including my great grandson, "MacLaine", and like so many other US military personnel, they are "exhausted". That they by the grace of God, would be able to airlift to safety all US citizens, Christian missionaries and Afghan supporters. Bless you all.

"Pearl" is a young woman raising a toddler alone, having been abandoned by the father before birth. Pearl has struggled with homelessness and unemployment over the past year. Her current boyfriend would like her to continue her pregnancy, but Pearl is uncertain of his true commitment. She has dreams of having a home and stability for her family and is working hard to attain them, but the chaos surrounding her current situation frightens her. Pearl was open with her nurse about previous abortion experiences and how they affected her. She admitted feeling truly alone, being estranged from her family, and not having any friends. When her nurse shared about Christ, Pearl said she grew up in church but wasn't ready to recommit her life to Jesus. Pearl was interested in further support and agreed to be contacted by a MotherCare mentor. Please pray Pearl will be able to connect quickly with a mentor. Pray God will work powerfully through this relationship giving Pearl the strength and support she needs to continue her pregnancy. Pray the love of Christ will manifest itself powerfully in Pearl's life and she will surrender to Jesus.

"Jolie" came to CompassCare last week uncertain about whether to continue her pregnancy. She is single and works with the father of the baby. They are not in a relationship and Jolie feels it would be awkward to have her baby and then still work with him. Her family is supportive of her getting an abortion. During the ultrasound, Jolie saw her 9-week-old baby and heard his heartbeat. She tearfully admitted to her nurse that she believes abortion is wrong, but feels pressured to go forward with it. Jolie was open to hearing the gospel and recommitted her life to Christ. While she says her plan is still to get an abortion, she agreed to a follow-up call from her nurse. Please pray God would intervene on behalf of Jolie's baby. Pray that she will have the courage to say no to the pressure that surrounds her. Pray the Holy Spirit will move in Jolie's heart and draw her closer to Christ. ------- "MacKenzie" is 14-weeks pregnant. She has a toddler at home and is working on her degree. The thought of having another baby overwhelms MacKenzie and she feels another child will get in the way of her goals. Her family and her boyfriend will support whatever decision she makes. MacKenzie was engaged with her baby during the ultrasound and was surprised to learn how far along she is. She shared her hesitation to have a surgical abortion, but still couldn't imagine continuing her pregnancy. MacKenzie listened with joy as her nurse shared the love of Christ and decided to surrender her life to Him. By the end of the appointment, MacKenzie told her nurse she wasn't sure what she was going to do. She will return next week for a follow-up appointment. Pray God would use this time in MacKenzie's life to reveal Himself more to her. Pray she will turn to Him for wisdom in her decision. Pray her family and boyfriend will see her uncertainty and encourage her to continue her pregnancy. Pray God's protection over her preborn baby.
