Update on 9 year old Brady: He did well with his tests today. The doctors didn't see anything there, and will do an MRI on his stomach soon. Please continue to pray for the doctors to have wisdom as to the cause of his pain and weight loss. Thank you.

My brother Nate is home from the hospital. His doctors determined the pain he is having is due to the morphine pump that was put in his body 6 years ago to control his pain. It has shifted and needs to be removed. He is awaiting surgery to remove it. Thank you for your prayers.

Went to my cardiologist yesterday and he told me my left ventricle is not pumping enough blood supply to my body. He prescribed medicines to take, but my insurance company is holding it up because it’s very expensive. The doctor has to submit extra paper work There are other medicines to take that are cheaper, but this particular one he wants to do is effective. Please pray.

UPDATES: "Cali" (young and doesn't feel ready to have a child) has an appointment for a surgical abortion at Planned Parenthood next week. She continues to express fear about having a baby and still has not told her mom she is pregnant. Cali's boyfriend is concerned about her mental well-being after the abortion. She told her nurse that she believes God will forgive her and she is praying she won't have any regret. Please pray God will radically change Cali's mind and she will spare the life of her child. Pray the Lord gives her the courage she needs to share her pregnancy with her mother. Pray she cancels her appointment with Planned Parenthood and returns to CompassCare instead. ------- "Anne" (a single mother of a grade school son who felt she cannot have another baby right now) missed her follow-up appointment at CompassCare. Her nurse was able to reach her by phone and Anne reported that she finally told her mom she is pregnant and is planning to continue her pregnancy. When asked what influenced her to change her mind, Anne said it was the loving advice given by her nurse that encouraged her to take some time and talk with her mom. We thank God for this victory and answer to prayer! Please continue to pray for Anne and the growing baby in her womb. Pray He will provide all the strength, courage and perseverance she needs as she prepares to mother another child.

Please continue to pray for the Lord's comfort, grace, guidance, and peace for Roseann Barstow and Michael Dobosz, both of whom are grieving the passing of their long-time spouse. Also, please keep praying for employment opportunities for Victor Nowrocki, who is a skilled carpenter. ------- UPDATES: Linda Weckelman is starting a new regiment of chemo beginning this Friday, October 8th. It takes over 3 hrs to administer the chemo. There are difficult side effects; however Linda & Gerry are trusting in the Lord as they have for many years. ------- Steve Hollis continues having regular PT/OT at home and his progress is coming along steadily, PTL!, but there is still a lot he can't do. -------- Rick Juszkiewicz has developed a very painful hernia, primarily from abdominal fluid buildup, and has difficulty getting in and out of his car. He has an appointment at Strong with liver transplant specialists this Thursday, and asked for prayer for the Lord to give his physicians guidance from above, and that he would put the proper plans in order for his two daughters and brother. -------- Mike Grabowski is now in the process of being measured and fitted for a leg prothesis. He believes this is one of the important components that may allow him to be able to walk again by the grace of God, and possibly be able to return home. Please continue praying for all these dear saints!

Please pray for C. C., who is in palliative care and asks for prayer "that Jesus will be with me for the end of my life." -------- UPDATE on John Barrett: His wife reports he is out of the ICU, but still hospitalized and receiving several medications and antibiotics for a kidney infection caused by an obstruction from kidney stones. He is weak, but able to be out of bed and walking, so they're hopeful he'll be coming home soon. They are very grateful for your prayers.

Grandma had a mini stroke yesterday. She's doing better in hospital for a couple days. It was very traumatic and reminded me of going through it with my mom. I'm ok, trusting in the Lord to work everything together for good. My whole body, lymphatic system has collapsed and I’m in chronic adrenal fatigue and can barely function. Jesus is with me and carrying me. He is my help, comforter, healer and strength. Resting in Him, His Sovereignty & faithfulness. Please keep us all lifted in prayer.

"Karen" is in shock and disbelief about her pregnancy. She is no longer in a relationship with the father of the baby and her family and friends support her decision to get an abortion. When she was searching for abortion in her area, CompassCare came up and she scheduled an appointment. Though Karen's pregnancy is too early to be confirmed, she told her nurse she was glad she came to CompassCare first. She expressed concerns about the long-term effects of abortion on her mental health and she feels Planned Parenthood would have pressured her to move forward too quickly. She agreed to wait before making a final decision and scheduled a return appointment for next week. Please pray Karen will use this time wisely and think through her situation. Pray her family and friends will change their minds and support her continuing her pregnancy. Pray she returns for her follow-up appointment. -------- "Lydia" recently started college and now finds she is pregnant. She feels she is too young to have a baby and she doesn't want anything to interfere with her plans and goals. Lydia admitted to her nurse that she had an abortion earlier this year and claims it did not negatively affect her. Lydia's ultrasound revealed an eleven-week-old baby and when asked how she felt she simply said, "I can't keep it." Lydia professes to be a Christian and agreed to pray about her decision, as well as talk with her family. Please pray God will soften Lydia's heart toward her preborn baby. Pray her family will surround her with the love and support she needs to continue her pregnancy and still attend school. Pray the Lord will protect this child. --------- "Jennifer" recently found out she is pregnant and is completely overwhelmed. She works full-time and recently separated from her husband because of his substance abuse issues. She feels he is not a supportive father and is not sure she wants to have another baby with him. Jennifer's pregnancy was too early to confirm so she agreed to return for another ultrasound. When her nurse asked her how she was feeling, she stated she is a strong and independent person and could probably have this baby, but has already made up her mind not to. She has not yet told her husband, but plans to tell him before returning to CompassCare. Please pray God will bring Jennifer a sense of peace in this time of uncertainty. Pray she would have the courage to have her baby. Pray the Lord would bring Jennifer and her husband healing through this pregnancy.
