Children’s Ministry

Parents are invited to check out our Children’s Ministry.  We provide a safe space where kids can worship, pray and hear age-appropriate lessons from God’s Word.

When we meet:

Sundays at 10:30 am
Wednesdays at 7:00 pm

We have a full children’s program every Sunday at 10:30 am for infants through age 11. Nursery and toddler rooms are on the first floor, along with the Nursing Mothers room. Bible study and activities for ages 5 through 11 years old are on the third floor. We also have a children’s program for kids 5-11 on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm.

What To Expect

Every child must be checked in and out by a parent before class. All teachers and helpers undergo a background check before being cleared to serve in the Children’s Ministry. If you have been at Koinonia for 6 months and are interested in volunteering, contact Lynna Donnor at ldonnor@koinoniafellowship.com.

We start with a time of worship and then share prayer requests and pray for each other. After that we split into groups by age for a bible lesson and guided discussion. We usually incorporate a craft, game or activity related to each lesson.

Our curriculum is from Answers in Genesis which brings the Bible to life and addresses real-life issues that confront kids today. Our goal is that students will gain a thorough understanding of the Scriptures, starting with who God is and what is His plan of salvation. Our prayer is that all will be conformed to the image of Christ and equipped to share their faith as they learn to apply God’s Word in their everyday lives.
