Whether we mean to or not, whether we need to or not, we are all role models. Every man is influencing someone. It may be a son or daughter, a wife, a friend, a coworker, a younger man in the church, or a neighbor watching how we respond under pressure. Even ordinary daily interactions leave an impression. People hear our words, watch our habits, notice our priorities, and draw conclusions from the way we live.

That is especially true for Christian men.

When people know we belong to Christ, our lives become part of our witness. The question is not whether we are influencing others, but whether that influence is pointing people toward strength, faithfulness, courage, and love.

That is why we are inviting the men of our fellowship to a retreat centered on biblical masculinity.

Our theme comes from 1 Corinthians 16:13–14: “Watch, stand fast in the faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.”

At this retreat, we want to explore what those commands look like in real life. What does it mean to be watchful in our homes and culture? What does it mean to stand firm in a time when so many are drifting? What is real courage? What kind of strength does God call men to have? And how do we hold all of that together with love?

Billy Graham once said, “You have got to build better men before you can build a better society.”

That gets to the heart of this retreat. We are not gathering to complain about the culture. We are gathering to ask God to work in us. We want to become better men ourselves: better husbands, better fathers, better brothers in Christ, and better examples to the people around us.

This is not going to be a lecture series with easy answers. Scripture is clear, but applying it faithfully requires wisdom, humility, and honest conversation. There will be teaching, discussion, times of prayer, worship, and fellowship. The goal is not simply to hear the truth, but to ask how it applies to us personally and how to live it out.

The retreat begins Thursday, May 28 with dinner at 6:00 p.m. We’ll meet all day Friday and wrap up after lunch on Saturday.

For many men, the hardest part may be taking Friday off from work. We understand that. But some things are worth making room for. Growing as a man of God is one of them.

If you want to lead more faithfully, this retreat is for you. If you need encouragement, sharpening, or renewal, this retreat is for you. If you want to understand more clearly what biblical masculinity looks like, this retreat is for you.

We hope you will join us. Come ready to listen, talk, pray, and give the Lord time to do His work. Our prayer is that every man will leave renewed, refreshed, and better equipped to be the role model God has called him to be.
