Habits of the Household by Justin Whitmel Earley is a helpful tool for the Christian wanting to have practical instruction on how to include the Lord in their day.
“This book is on my list of books I think every Christian should read. While it’s targeted at families with young children, I think that it would be incredibly beneficial for a new believer or someone wanting help structuring their day around the Lord. Every time I read the book I come away with a new practical tip to add to enhance my relationship with God. Being a young first-time parent and not having grown up in a Christian home, this book taught me how to pray with my kids around the dinner table. It gave me examples of simple statements to make through our day to teach us the gospel. I highly recommend joining us as we read this book together. Parent or not, everyone can get something out of this, even if you are an experienced Christian, your wisdom will be valuable for teaching the younger!” – Hannah Rowe, church secretary, young wife and mom of 2.
This will be a 5-week study beginning on Saturday October 11. We will meet in the Agape Hall at 9am. Children are welcome! Childless people are welcome too! There will be reading of a couple chapters at home each week and when we gather together we will discuss, answer questions in small groups, and pray together.
The church will order both books and ask that you cover half of the cost.
