Women of Koinonia, I am truly excited to say that we’ve had 2 fantastic presentations at the Women’s Agape Night during the last 2 months!  First of we had record turnouts with about 65 women signing up for both of the events.  The Agape night on March 27th at 6 p.m. in the church fellowship hall featured guest speaker, Rev. Carol Sassano Ball, from Elim Fellowship.

She delivered a message on “God’s Glory Revealed!”  She related that not only was Christ’s birth heralded by the angels, received by the Disciples, whose miracles were witnessed in the land which we now call Israel, and then brought to the Gentiles, but now must be revealed through us! Thus, the unreached will hear and receive the message of salvation today!

The challenge to the women at the dinner and those reading now is have you acknowledged that there is no other way to find salvation in God, but through His Son Jesus Christ?  If so, have you repented of your sin?  Lastly, have you turned over the executive chair of your life to Him.  Have you made Christ, the Lord of your life?  If so, it is an eternal redemptive adventure!  In short, our lives purpose and goal in Christ is TO KNOW HIM AND MAKE HIM KNOWN!

We also enjoyed a wonderful Greek dinner put on by Fotini and her catering services. Also, the worship was truly anointed as Dawn Patrick and Penny Mayo led us before the Throne of Grace.

At the Agape Night on April 24th, at 6 p.m., Abigail Cook gave her personal and clear testimony on “God’s Transforming Love!” Abi has been serving with the Youth Group and Young Adult groups at Koinonia, as well as playing on the Sunday Worship Team. In her mid-twenties now, she recalled that she gave her life to Christ at the age of 7. Growing up she attended church and enjoyed living in a loving Christian family.

However, she was confronted with temptations which gained a stronghold in her life. After wrestling with her sin for several years she finally cried out to God, acknowledging her need for God’s transformative/ redemptive power, (1 John 1:8,9). God continued transforming her life throughout her time in college as He increased in her a deep love and passion for His Word. He showed her how His love transformed, humbled, and pursued her.
God is using Abi and her talents as she has surrendered all to Him. She is a great blessing and we were all encouraged by her testimony along with Scriptures she had shared with us.

We enjoyed a wonderful Italian dinner catered by Papa G’s.  Good food is always welcomed while you are enjoying fellowship around the table!  Abi Cook and Kathy Langer joyfully led the women in praise and worship before Abi delivered her message.  In conclusion, both Agape nights were not only memorable but life changing.
