UPDATE: Dayna has decided to continue her pregnancy, despite her lack of support from the father of the baby. While things are a bit stressful, she does have a support from her family. Praise God for giving her courage and please continue to pray for her as she goes through this pregnancy.

Connie has a history of abortion and some serious pregnancy related medical problems. She has been to CompassCare twice with her husband. Connie stated that she feels abortion is best for her right now but also told her nurse that she has always wanted six children. She currently has four, with the fifth in her womb. Please pray for Connie, that God will intensify her conflict over having another abortion and give her the courage to protect her fifth child. Pray that she will continue despite the medical risks. Most of all, pray that Connie will experience the overpowering love of God and align her life with His. -- Felicia has three children and is feeling overwhelmed with being pregnant again. Her job requires a lot of energy and movement and she doesn't see how having another kid is doable. She is the primary breadwinner for not only her family but also for her extended family. Felicia's most recent pregnancy ended with a stillborn child and she still feels that loss keenly. By the end of appointment she acknowledged that aborting this baby would affect her similarly. She agreed to take time to make her decision and return for another ultrasound. Please pray for Felicia, that she would remember the pain of losing her last child and so not choose to abort this one. Pray for healing and for her connection with a MotherCare team at a local church. -------- Please pray for Bev who recently discovered she is pregnant and is feeling overwhelmed. She is a single mother with a 12 year old and wasn't considering having a baby at this time in her life. Bev's boyfriend told her he would support whatever decision she made but generally speaking, Bev feels like she lacks support. Her ultrasound revealed a healthy six week old baby and she confessed to having mixed emotions upon hearing the heartbeat. Bev agreed to take some time to consider her decision and made an appointment to return next week for another ultrasound. She listened intently when the gospel was presented to her and indicated she wanted to fully consider what it would mean to surrender her life to the Lord. Thankfully, she agreed to have someone from an area MotherCare team reach out to her this week. Please pray that Bev will find the support and courage she needs to make a decision for life for her baby, and surrender her life to the Lord. ------- Daria came in downcast and upset about being pregnant. She wants an abortion, saying she has two kids already and the father of the baby isn't interested in her continuing the pregnancy. Daria was upset to be reminded that CompassCare doesn't do abortions but she was willing to stay for the appointment. Her nurse shared information on abortion, all the resources available to her if she were to continue, and that she is committed to helping her through this season in her life. Daria did not schedule a return and was not interested in follow-up calls. Please pray for Daria. That her heart would be softened toward the life growing inside of her. Pray that she reconsiders her decision to abort and comes back for support and resources. ------ Patti has not returned to CompassCare, and her nurse has tried to contact her multiple times. It seems her phone belongs to someone else now. Please continue to pray that God will intervene in her life and rescue her from her plans to abort.

"Janay" is living with her mom and her two kids. She knows her mom would be really disappointed in her for getting pregnant and plans to keep it from her by getting an abortion quickly. Also, the father of the baby does not want any kids and is pressuring her to abort. Her pregnancy is too early to confirm. Through some tears Janay said that she would have to cut off relationship with the baby's father in order to continue. Her nurse spoke of Jesus' love for her and her need for a Savior. Janay admitted to relying on Jesus at times like this and agreed to give her decision some time and come back next week. Please pray that Janay calls out to Jesus for help and hope. Pray that she tells her mom and that her mom encourages her to carry to term. UPDATES: "Ramsay" told her nurse during a follow-up phone call that she had an abortion back in August. Please pray for Ramsay to seek forgiveness and healing from her heavenly Father. -------- "Jennie" did not sound happy to hear from her nurse and abruptly said, "I took care of things." Please pray that Jennie would be convicted of her need for forgiveness and find that Christ is more than sufficient. PRAISE REPORT: When Reena's nurse called her, "Reena" stated she is going to her OB/GYN and things are going well with the pregnancy and she is planning on continuing! Praise God for her change of mind and decision to carry to term.

"Lillian" is a mother of two and recently went back to work. She was surprised to learn that she is pregnant again. She said she feels guilty for thinking about getting an abortion but she and her husband are struggling to make ends meet and she doesn't know how they can add another child. Lillian was then surprised to see two gestational sacs...twins! She left CompassCare still undecided but with a commitment to come back for another appointment. Please pray for this couple, that God would move them to protect their preborn children's lives. Pray that Lillian would connect with a MotherCare team member for support and friendship. --------- "Shanell" came to CompassCare to confirm her pregnancy. The man who she thinks is the father, died a few weeks ago but she has also been with another partner and so isn't sure. However, if the baby belongs to the second man she wants to get an abortion. Shanell has two other children and is having a hard time caring for them. She is too early in her pregnancy to confirm viability but did agree to come back for another appointment. Please pray that God would shine His light of grace in Shanell's life and transform her from the inside out. Pray that she would return next week and decide to continue her pregnancy.

UPDATE: Praise the Lord for His grace and goodness. The MRI is clear; there is no sign that the cancer has spread to my brain. Please continue to pray that the new treatment is working. Thank You, Lord, and saints, thank you for your prayers.

"Cass" has completed a couple years of college and been with her boyfriend for over a year. She was shocked to have a positive pregnancy test because she thought she couldn't get pregnant. Now scared and wondering what to do, Cass came to CompassCare for some answers. Two of her family members have been to CompassCare before and both continued their pregnancies. Her pregnancy is too early to confirm but Cass started crying just reading information about her baby's development. She agreed to come back for another appointment. Please pray for Cass as she considers her situation, and pray that she would be encouraged by her family to carry her baby to term. ---------- "Gia" came into CompassCare from over an hour away to get an abortion. She almost walked out when reminded that CompassCare does not do abortions but decided to stay because she wanted to know how far along she is. Gia and her boyfriend just moved in together and this pregnancy comes as a big shock. Gia took herself off of the medication she uses because she thought it might harm the baby and showed concern when a heartbeat couldn't be detected. She has shared the news with her mom, who is pro-life. After asking for an abortion referral and told she wouldn't receive one, she scheduled a return appointment anyway. Please pray that Gia's mom would influence her in that direction as well, and that she returns next week for her appointment.
